The Internet of Things is here, its growth untamed. Talk about the Internet of Things is seemingly everywhere these days. The “Internet of Things” (IoT) basically refers to devices or objects that are connected to the Internet. Things from a smartwatch to self-driven cars to refrigerators.

First coined in 1999 by British entrepreneur Kevin Ashton, Internet of Things is not just a phrase. It’s a phenomenon. An episode. It’s “the thing”.
And most importantly, it’s here to stay.
